RENEWABLES
The term ‘Renewable Energy’ refers to sources of energy that that are not depleted by use, or that are naturally replenished on a human timescale, including; sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. This is in contrast to non-renewable energy sources such as coal, gas, and oil. The term ‘Renewables’ refers to technologies that produce renewable energy such as; solar panels, wind turbines, and ground and air source heat pumps.
