HOME QUALITY MARK

The HOME QUALITY MARK  (HQM) is a voluntary housing quality rating that was created and launched by the BRE in 2015 as part of the BREEAM family of quality and sustainability standards. It rates new homes using a 5-star rating system to indicate their overall quality and sustainability and also ranks the homes based on specific key performance indicators including; the overall running costs, the impact on the occupant’s health and wellbeing, the home’s environmental footprint. Developments built to other standards can also be credited under the mark where compatible criteria apply.
