The FUTURE HOMES STANDARD: CONSULTATION ON CHANGES TO PART L (CONSERVATION ON FUEL AND POWER) AND PART F (VENTILATION) OF THE BUILDING REGULATIONS FOR NEW DWELLINGS (2019) is a consultation paper published in October 2019 that set out the plans of the UK government for the introduction of the FUTURE HOMES STANDARD in 2025. The paper, which is the first stage of a two-part consultation process, also proposed an update to PART L (conservation of fuel and power) and PART F (ventilation) of the BUILDING REGULATIONS, and their associated APPROVED DOCUMENTS, with higher energy efficient requirements for new homes, as a stepping stone to the FUTURE HOMES STANDARD.
