BRUNDTLAND COMMISSION

The BRUNDTLAND COMMISSION was created by the United Nations in 1987. The mission of the commission was to unite countries to address the growing concern regarding the accelerating deterioration of the human environment and natural resources. The commission report, published the same year, gave the first definition for SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
